About the founding member

Vemaleli SHEQ Consultants Pty LTD is a company established and founded by Mr Mphikeleli Mema. He has over 12 years of experience in safety, health, environmental and quality management systems. He is an innovative professional with strong ability to identify, analyse and solve problems to increase customer satisfaction.

Mphikeleli is a part time Lecturer for the Occupational Health and Safety Management Modules. He holds a BTech In Safety Management from University of South Africa, Postgraduate Diploma Labour Law from University of the Western Cape, Management Development Programme from University of Stellenbosch Business School.

He also completed the following training courses SAMTRAC, ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor, ISO 9001:2015 Transition, Confined Space Entry, Legal Liability, Train The Trainer (Instructional Techniques In Safety), Introduction To Integrated Management System, OHSAS 18001 Internal Auditor and Implementation, ISO 14001 Introduction, Basic Working at Heights and Events Safety Management.

Auditing Services are applicable to Company’s own specific system requirements, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Integrated Management Systems.

Supplier Audits and Supply-Chain Audits

Supplier Audits are conducted against the specific tender or customer specified/product requirements. These audits are conducted to ensure that suppliers meet your quality, safety, health, environment, sustainability, social accountability/responsibility, or ethical requirements.

Pre-Assessment/ Pre-Certification Audits

Pre-Assessment audits are normally conducted after a series of internal audits and before applying for certification of a management system at a Certification Body.


Our technical services include compiling safety risk assessments, aspects and impacts registers, assist with SHE files, SHE workplace inspections and baseline facility inspections to evaluate compliance with the OHS ACT.

(OHSE) Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Compliance Audits

OHSE audits are conducted to evaluate a company’s OHSE compliance against applicable health and safety and environmental legislation and customer requirements.

Contractor Compliance Audits

These audits are conducted to ensure that contractors comply with the requirements of the customer/client and the specifications/service level agreements in place.

Internal Audits

Internal audits are carried out to measure the effective implementation of the system. Documentation, as well as implementation of the system, is audited. Audits are carried out based on the company’s own management system requirements and any other management system standard it wants to comply with.

Gap Analysis Audits

Gap analysis audits determine the degree of compliance with a specification or specific standard/s. It identifies the shortcomings within the system. These audits focus on identifying the baseline status of an organisation beginning phase of implementation. Mostly documentation is evaluated during this type of audit.

Events Safety Management

To provide for measures to safeguard the physical well-being and safety of persons and property at sports, recreational, religious, cultural, exhibitional, organisational or similar events held at the stadiums, venues or along a route.  Assist the Event Organiser to compile the SHE file.
